Lange Geschichte - long story

One day I had the idea to  make a picture from my self-dyed fabrics, I thought of a skyline. At first it was really simple and progress was fast. Then I had the idea to add some stitches. Good idea - but I couldn't stop stitching. It was great fun and my original idea changed completely. Now it's nearly finished, there is a blue binding and a second from all the fabrics that I used for the picture. The backing will be finished the next days.

When I added all those tiny patches of my fabrics I saw how similar they are to my watercolours. I love the intensity of the colours. You begin with a very light colour and then you see there are more and more colours and mixtures. It's like a drug.
