Zoo

Many years ago I often visited the zoo with my children and by the way we  had our own tiny zoo at home - the combination of a tomcat and mice was a challenge however. The promise of one daughter that the tiny rabbits she brought home were both male was no success - some weeks later the two "boys" had 4 babies. Today I have my own zoo in my kitchen.
Ich habe meine erste Filzblüte fertig - my first felted flower is ready.

The blanket made of leftovers is ready but it still needs backing and filling and there are still lots of leftovers. I've finished warm socks and a vest, so it doesn't matter if it's cold outside.
I collect salt-and peppershakers, aren't these cute.

Reste-Scraps

Was macht man damit? Was macht man?
Do you know that: whatever you make there are leftovers. What can you make of them, they are not big enough for anything but you don't want to throw them away. So you keep them and they get more and more. So you make smaller scraps for blankets and cushions etc. I started a blanket, a vest and today I've made marmelade from grapefruit, orange and mango leftovers and I added some cranberries.

We spent New Year's Eve on Helgoland, enjoying the calm, breathing good air, admiring nature. My best wishes to all who visit my blog. Let's see what the future will bring . At the moment I'm reorganizing my work. Therefore I post some photos from the island in the North Sea.
